Baidu unveils autonomous vehicle without steering wheel

The new vehicle will possess autonomous Level 4 capabilities that need no human intervention, with 8 lidars and 12 cameras alongside the car. Lidars are detection systems, similar to radars, which use pulsed laser light rather than radio waves. Apollo Go, Baidu's robotaxi service, has operated over 1 million across 10 Chinese cities since its launch in 2020 and Baidu said in April that it received permits to deploy robotaxis without humans in the driving seat on open roads in Beijing.

What are SMP Connectors?

Chip lead times, the gap between ordering a chip and taking delivery, increased to 17 weeks in April, indicating users are getting more desperate to secure supply, according to research by Susquehanna Financial Group. Hyundai's new electric car has a solar panel roof and can charge other EVs

If its battery level is above 15%, you can plug the new Hyundai into another electric car to charge it.

TikTok’s monthly consumption per user nearly doubled in 2020, growing by 94.1% year-over-year across 16 countries, including the United States. In comparison, the other top five largest social apps averaged consumption-per-user growth of just 11%, according to a WARC analysis of App Annie data on Android mobile devices.

Huawei leads the world in wireless communication patents in 2020, ahead of Qualcomm

For the first nine months of this year, Huawei Technologies applied for 8,607 patents in wireless communications, leading the world and is far ahead of Qualcomm's 5,807 filings. China and the US each have 32% of the patents filed to date, while Japan is behind 15% and South Korea has 7%, per incoPat, a Beijing-based database provider.
